If Her Wardrobe Markets were a pair of jeans, we'd officially be vintage 501s.
When we hosted our very first market back in 2015, we never imagined that one simple idea, bringing women together to buy and sell beautiful secondhand fashion, would grow into more than 500 fashion markets across South East Queensland and Northern NSW.
Along the way, we've watched wardrobes become side hustles, strangers become friends, and countless items find a second life instead of ending up in landfill.
And over the years, one question has followed us to almost every single market.
"Do you have men's stuff?"
For a long time, our answer was always the same.
"Maybe one day."
Well... after 501 markets, we figured we'd kept the gentlemen waiting long enough.
Lately, lots more men are coming along to our events, and lots of you are asking whether there's menswear at our markets. We love seeing you and hearing it! Thanks for loving the thrift concept so much.
We've decided it's time for a small evolution, to start, we are going to serve the awesome men we already know and love! This is your invitation to please book a stall and come and sell with us!
Introducing His Wardrobe ~ Slowly Does it.
We're excited to announce the soft launch of His Wardrobe mens' sections popping op at Her Wardrobe Markets in Brisbane.
Keep an eye out for the dedicated sections at the monthly Rack Market at Stratton in Newstead, the twice-monthly Thrift Market at Red Hill and Thrifterhood at Witton Barracks in Indooroopilly (launching on Saturday 8 August - eek, also very exciting!).
The mens' sectionswill grow as more guys get motivated to get their stuff sorted and book in their stalls. This is super-exciting and we absolutely cannot wait.
We are very excited to try your stuff on, espeically your vintage 501's!
Starting Small. Thinking Big.
Will it be huge on day one? Probably not.
Could you be the only bloke in the section? Possibly.
Could that actually be the best spot in the market when shoppers are specifically looking for men's gear? Also... yes.
Our First Trial
Our first invitation for guys to book in His Wardrobe men's section will be at Rack Market at Stratton in Newstead on Sunday 19 July.
We can't wait, this venue is so perfect! Wheel in your suitcases, set up your stall and settle in for the afteroon with an epic dumpling and drink deal for $20. Whatever happens, the beer is cold and the vibes are high!
