Over the past few months, our community has experienced a period of uncertainty and change.
Since launching in 2015, Her Wardrobe Markets has always been built around one simple idea: creating a safe, welcoming space where women can buy, sell and celebrate pre-loved fashion while creating new opportunities through circular fashion.
When our Mt Gravatt Showgrounds events could no longer proceed, refunds were issued for events that did not go ahead, and we remain available to assist anyone who has questions or needs support. If you have any outstanding concerns, please reach out to us directly so we can help here.
We are aware that some information shared publicly, including online discussions and media commentary, has not reflected the full picture of what occurred. We believe the best way forward is through direct communication, transparency and ensuring our community has access to accurate information.
Throughout this period, we have continued working hard to support our seller community. We are grateful that many of our regular stallholders have chosen to continue this journey with us at our new Brisbane locations, including Newstead, Red Hill and our upcoming Indooroopilly launch.
We understand that unexpected situations create questions, and we believe trust is built through transparency, communication and accountability. Our lines remain open, and we welcome conversations with anyone who would like to discuss their experience or seek further information.
As we enter our next phase of growth, our focus is on rebuilding stronger than ever, creating even more opportunities for sellers, shoppers and our sustainable fashion community across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
We are also hopeful that the tens of thousands of women who have been part of this community over the years will be included in genuine consultation about the future of Mt Gravatt Showgrounds and the land it represents.
Community assets are at their best when the voices of the communities who use, contribute to and care for them are heard. We will continue to advocate for transparency, good governance and meaningful community engagement.
More than 500 markets later, our purpose remains the same: transforming the way we buy and sell fashion, creating opportunities for women, and giving clothing a second life.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to stand beside us, attend our markets and cheer us on. It means the world, we are so grateful for true community.
